ThinGap Motor, S.F. company ally

Early-stage motor technology company ThinGap Motor Technologies of Ventura and BEI Technologies Inc. have entered into a supply and distribution agreement.

The agreement includes an equity investment by BEI.

ThinGap will use San Francisco-based BEI's optical encoder motor feedback products and drive electronics for appropriate motor control and servo applications. BEI will facilitate contract manufacturing of motors and motor components to supplement ThinGap's manufacturing capacity with automated motor production.

BEI Technologies Inc. makes electronic sensors and engineered subsystems used in factory and process automation, telecommunications gear, and a wide range of transportation applications.

ThinGap Motor Technologies makes brush and brushless motors for industrial applications, including robots, medical instruments and devices, power tools, machine tools, factory automation and unmanned aerial vehicles.
