BEI and ThinGap implement agreement

BEI Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: BEIQ) and ThinGap Motor Technologies, an early stage California motor technology company, have implemented a strategic supply and distribution agreement for the purpose of development, marketing and production of advanced motor products incorporating ThinGap's patented motor technology. The wireless and slotless electromotive coil technology bring the magnetic forces of a motor together in a unique way, providing better efficiency for lower power costs and higher power densities for more power in a much smaller package.

The agreement calls for ThinGap to utilize BEI optical encoder motor feedback products and drive electronics for appropriate motor control and servo applications. BEI will facilitate contract manufacturing of motors and motor components, significantly supplementing ThinGap's manufacturing capacity with high volume, automated motor production.

BEI Technologies is maker of electronic sensors, motors, actuators and motion control products used for factory and office automation, medical equipment, military, aviation and space systems.
