ThinGap Corporation AWARDED MOST PROMISING PRESENTER AWARD
FROM CLEANTECH VENTURE NETWORK

VENTURA, CALIFORNIA – JUNE 14, 2004 – ThinGap Corporation, the leader in high power density brushless and brush DC motors, today announced it received the Most Promising Presenter Award from the Cleantech Venture Network. The award includes a package worth over $15,000 of goods and services from a variety of legal, public relations and technical service providers.

“ThinGap is elated that our unique technology, designed to provide high efficiency motion at lower costs and improve the quality of life, is being recognized by the members of the CleanTech Venture Network,” said Rick Noling, CEO, ThinGap Corporation. “Winning the CleanTech award validates the venture capital community’s interest in ThinGap’s motion technology solutions.”

"This is quite an honor for both ThinGap and its CEO Rick Noling,” says Keith Raab, CEO of Cleantech Venture Network. “Most of our conference attendees are seasoned venture investors who have vetted hundreds of clean technology companies. This award for ThinGap is a sign that the investor community sees great potential.”

Attendees of the Cleantech Venture Forum IV in San Francisco were asked to vote for the company that represents the most promising venture investment opportunity at this year’s event. ThinGap Corporation won the vote.

The ThinGap electromotive coil technology uses multiple precision-machined copper sheets to replace the magnet wire and iron core of conventional motors. This innovative, patented design eliminates magnetic saturation, eddy currents, and hysteresis associated with the conventional iron core designs, improving controllability and power density. I2R losses are minimized by the ultra low resistance coil, which also contributes to high efficiency. The precision wall of the stator coil allows for a narrow air gap between the rotor and stator assembly enabling higher magnetic flux density for improved utilization of the magnetic circuit enhancing shaft power.
