We have developed a freestanding coil, e.g. the coil does not use laminations for structural support, which eliminates magnetic field interference caused by slotted laminations. Our Brushless Motors allow the stator to reside in a very thin magnetic gap. Additionally, the stator is stationary and the permanent magnets rotate, i.e. the entire magnetic circuit rotates.
