The TGO-190 motor series is a high performance brushless motor incorporating the latest electro-magnetic components creating high continuous torques with low inertia for rapid acceleration. The TGO-190 is available with hall-effect commutation or encoder feedback.
ThinGap technology is thermally limited. This means that the torque limits, continuous and peak, are determined by the available cooling. Continuous torque for the TG series motors is derived using a model of the forced convection due to the rotation of the rotor about the coil. This causes the TG motor characteristic of increased torque with speed. Further improvements to the torque capacity can be made by augmenting the forced convection through modification to the rotor structural components.
